Now Open – New Climate Legacy Volunteer Position

Partnership Programme Developer and Leader

Climate Legacy is looking for several volunteers to work with us to develop partnerships with a range of voluntary and professional organizations to strengthen their climate advocacy and action. The job means working with the steering committee members to identify potential partnerships and build relationships with these organizations to jointly
develop activities to reach out to their members. Examples of such activities currently include webinars, speakers, articles in their newsletters, stimulating climate conversations, developing organizational policies or working groups relevant to the partner organization’s mandate. We currently work with organizations like nature groups and climate groups and hope to work with relevant retirees’ professional organizations.

The volunteers will participate in the Climate Legacy steering committee to shape and support the partnership they develop and are encouraged to document the activities and the learning so they can be shared more widely. Volunteers can share the responsibility for a partnership.

Time required: 1-1/2 days a week on weekdays, at times convenient to the volunteer and the partnering organization.

Requirements:

• Programme development and implementation experience
• Ability to build organizational partnerships
• Commitment to action on climate change, and broad knowledge of potential actions to combat climate change
• People skills
• Able and willing to work with your own computer and tools like Zoom

Volunteers will be mentored by steering committee members and assisted with programme development, technical and communications support.

To apply, please send us an email at climatelegacycanada@gmail.com explaining why you’d like to volunteer with us and attach a CV or description of your skills and experience.
